The Bios update you just did has a comment about an update for incompatible add-in graphics cards. I ran a GTX 680 on a Secure Boot Asus system before the card got its updated firmware and I had no problem getting into the bios to remove the Secure Boot option. But your system is a Workstation so it may be set up differently or the Bios is set up differently. It would not allow a boot into an OS but should give you some type of message regarding resetting the Bios options. RE: T1650: UEFI + Secure Boot enabled: Cannot boot anymore A Secure Boot configuration should not stop you from booting into the bios.

I probably just need an UEFI (Secure Boot) compatible graphics adapter. I assume, that the Nvidia NVS 300 is not compatible with UEFI + Secure Boot. Without success: The built-in VGA slot is disabled on T1650. Took the NVS 300 out, hoped to get monitor picture using the built. According to some folks CMOS clearing doesn't help when secure boot is enabled, so it probably remains activated. Tried also the jumper option as described here, without success. Reinstall the battery (right-side-up!) 6. Open case and remove motherboard battery 4. RE: T1650: UEFI + Secure Boot enabled: Cannot boot anymoreġ. RE: T1650: UEFI + Secure Boot enabled: Cannot boot anymore Did you press/hold the power button for ~30 sec after removing the battery? Since the monitor goes into power saving mode, I cannot access BIOS, cannot boot OS, nothing. RE: T1650: UEFI + Secure Boot enabled: Cannot boot anymore If I could access BIOS to disable Secure Boot, then I wouldn't have posted here. When turning the PC on, monitor immediately goes into power saving mode, there is obviously no signal coming from the PC. After updating BIOS, I've enabled UEFI + Secure Mode, saved the changes and. Before doing so, I successfully updated the BIOS to A20.

Report Unresolved Customer Service Issues here I do not work for Dell. For any secure boot bios system it must be CSM ON and secure boot off and Legacy option roms on. Only the cards with certifcate in bios will work. You cant have SECURE BOOT on with old or new cards. The forum is primarily user to user, with Dell employees moderating Contact USA Technical Support The 690 DOESNT HAVE UEFI BIOS and has PCI-E 1.0 SLOTS and therefore is not going to be compatable with any new cards EVER. Thanks for the advice though 0 Kudos Share RE: Dell desktop: complete blank screen after setting Secure boot ON and disabling legacy I tried your suggestion but the problem for me is I have a dell precision 690 and the options you speak of, down ten times is not valid at all, I did a dry test with my gtx 295 which works perfectly and nothing but lights 123 and a blank screen, really annoying me now as I have been saving a long time to get a descent card into the machine.
